Need help with ID (history) of HF unit

    Hi Guys
I found in my treasures 3 bullet shaped drivers Jensen MFG Co.
    Jensen Model : XP - 101 (Jensen Professional Series) Spec C 1738 - 3
    Stud mount to horn : 4 X1/4 20.
Opening Square 23mm x 23mm.... when dome removed beautiful machine work visible.
Diaphragm not dome type... looks like ring radiator
Could spec mean 17 march 1938
permanent magnet. From long distant memories (over 44yrs ago) it had a smooth sound.
My wife wants me to junk but the craftsmanship is so amazing to me.I suppose only more
mature members will care to help.
    Regards

Thanks Old Guy; I had forgotten about that post.

Kinomat, if you decide to junk those drivers please do so at my house, as they are worth a minimum of six or eight hundred dollars each! Same goes for much of the old theatre gear that was considered nearly worthless decades ago, the current values can be stunning. Got any old Western Electric stuff in your collection? Prepare to be happy. My guess is that your Jensen drivers if permanent magnet are later than 1938, likely postwar.

Steve he had PM'ed me wondering if GPA wanted to response tests on them...I thought actually you might be more interested. If you are, you may want to PM him if he doesn't contact you.
